How 90 Episodes of One Piece Changed My Mindset
Just finished the 90th episode of One Piece!
What’s so special?
In a world where time feels scarce, I set myself a challenge. I wanted to enjoy anime without losing control of my time. My solution: only one episode a day.
Why I Started
I began this journey on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Every day since, I’ve treated One Piece like a daily pill. A small dose of joy to tackle stress and setbacks.
The idea came after a scary moment: I checked my watch history. The numbers shook me.
- Naruto = 276 hours
- Vampire Diaries = 122 hours
- Friends = 82 hours
- Game of Thrones = 70 hours
- (And the list goes on… )
That’s when I realized the truth. I wasn’t short on time. I was bingeing it away.
Why Not Quit?
I asked myself: should I stop watching series altogether? But could I really give up the bonds I formed with Itachi, Jiraiya, Kakashi, and so many others?
No way.
So I found a middle path.
Not zero.
Not endless.
One episode a day.
And what better test than One Piece, the longest adventure out there?
What Changed After 90 Days
- Patience. Waiting each day taught me to savor the story instead of rushing through it.
- Healthier Habits. I found time for cycling, mindfulness, and other hobbies.
- Discipline The temptation to binge was strong, but sticking to my word felt stronger.
Your Turn: 90 Days of Growth
Now I challenge you.
Pick one habit. One thing you’ll do daily for 90 days.
Then share it in the comments. Call out your lazy friends.
Summon them to join you (risk of friendly casualties included).
Because nothing is more thrilling than watching people push themselves — and prove they can stay consistent.
