Gruen Transfer

You enter Decathlon to buy gym gloves.
Just gloves.
Next thing you know, you’re walking out with a yoga mat, hiking shoes, resistance bands, and a ₹799 water bottle with a built-in compass.
Still no gloves.
That’s the Gruen Transfer - the phenomenon where your brain forgets why you entered a store and starts vibing with everything except your original purpose.
It’s why supermarkets put “milk” the most basic item at the farthest corner. Exactly why IKEA makes you walk through 43 rooms before letting you touch that study table.
Online shopping?
You already know how that ends.
A perfect design with evil marketing intentions.
Moral of the story?
If you ever feel lost in a store, app, or just in general -
You’re probably experiencing:
Gruen Transfer.
Or capitalism.
Or both.
So don’t “add to cart.”
Just walk in, pick what you came for, and leave.
Does it always work?
No.
But now you forget your purpose - with awareness 😄
